Vaseline Saucers maths

A few weeks ago we made Vaseline Saucers for Pets day.
We made them with flower petals of the rainbow.

I used the warm colours like red, yellow, pink and purples.

I like how the flower were also roses.

I did well with keeping my flower petals symmetrical.

Symmetrical means it is the same on both sides.

Christmas tree

In Team Awa we sketched a Christmas tree and this is how to do it.

1.  We sketched our Christmas tree 

2.  As we were drawing our trees we were thinking why it made us happy. 3.  We made a poem with our words from the sketch. 4. We cut out our Christmas tree then glued it on our poem.Here is my work. I hope you like it:

Art

This term we have completed two pieces of art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

Our second piece was using the Maori words we have learnt and using these to create a visual picture. The words become the shape of the picture.

Some things I did well was straight lines with my building.

Some things I could improve on are warm and cold colours.

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I am good at making them correctly.                                 I need to get better at making them sit on the line.

Basic facts Term 3

We have been trying to get up to Stage 5.

All I need to work on is going faster. I'm good at 
times tables, pluses, takeaways and doubles and halves to twenty.

Save the world Thinglink

We have been learning about thinglink and we have been learning how to use it. This is what I know about helping to save the world from pollution and how to stop pollution in this world.
